The Solution

TruckMovers selected LocationSmart’s mobile network location service for its broad coverage options and dependability. The mobile network location application program interface (API) provides 95 percent U.S. mobile location coverage and it reaches 400 million wireless subscribers nationwide. LocationSmart has longstanding relationships with large carriers that include AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and a number of smaller carriers like US Cellular, MetroPCS GSM and others. It reports reliable triangulated location data based on a device’s proximity to nearby cellular towers.

As a result, TruckMovers is able to track current location of all trucks in transit via the driver’s mobile phone or tracking device regardless of the carrier or device type. The technology also provides opt-in and opt-out options through interactive voice recognition (IVR) and text messaging to ensure security and privacy. With LocationSmart as its third-party location provider, TruckMovers can deliver up-to-the-minute tracking information to its clients and ensure their valuable equipment is being protected.
